San Francisco
We went on a holiday a few days ago and my favorite place was San Francisco
I learned that San Fransisco has one of the world's largest natural harbour in the world. The first settlers in San Fransisco were the Spanish, who came in the 16th century. Did you know San Fransisco was named Yerba Buena before it was named San Fransisco? In 1846 the U.S took over Yerba Buena and renamed it San Francisco in 1847. In 1848 gold was found in the California foot hills and many people came to dig up gold. In 1906 there was a big earthquake and fire. San Fransisco is also known as Paris in the west. Today San Francisco is one of the most vibrant cities in the world.
If you go to San Francisco, you should try the clam chowder at Fisherman's Wharf and the Sourdough bread at Boudins, or a hot chocolate from Ghirardelli!
