Calender
Do you know the calender we use is the Gregorian calender ? It was invented in 1582 in replacement of the Julian calender. Did you know also, the Gregorian calender was named after Pope Gregory the XIII. A.D means Anno Domini which is in Latin. By the way, in English, A.D means the year of the lord.
I thought the most interesting part was how the months of the year were named. Some of the months of the year were named after Roman gods and godesses like Mars.
