Boston Tea Party
The Boston tea party is not a tea party!
The British government passed a law called the Tea Act. The people from the colonies did not like the law.
Then a ship came to Boston and the ships was named Darthmouth. The ship was full of tea and two more ships that carried tea came. A group of people called the Sons of Liberty protested this. Then on December 16,1773, about a 100 people of the Sons of Liberty got onto the 3 ships and dumped 342 tea chests into the Boston Harbour. This was done in 3 hours at night!
So the British government stopped Boston commerce. Then all the people from the 13 colonies kept protesting. This led to the American Revolutionary War.
I found this story uplifting.
