Fossils
Today I learned about fossils. I thought it very interesting! I learned that fossil is a mark of a dead animal or plant inside the soil. A fossil is formed when an animal or plant is buried on mud. Then it gets hardened into rock. The body then gets decayed. After that the mark of body part gets on the rock.
There are 2 types of fossils called trace and body fossils. An example of a body fossil is a human body. An example of a trace fossil is a foot print. Scientists say that a fossil is at least 10,000 years old.
Fossils are useful because they tell us about history of the world. A dinosaur fossil is a fossil which shows proof that dinosaurs existed.
