Nelson Mandela
Yesterday Mr. Nelson Mandela passed away after a long illness and the whole world mourned his death.
Nelson Mandela was born on July 18,1918 and died on December 5,2013. He was actually named Rolihlahla Mandela and then nicknamed Nelson, by his teacher. After his schooling he studied Law. Nelson Mandela was unhappy because non-white people were not treated equally with the whites. Mandela was in jail for 26 years because he was fighting against Apartheid, a system which separates whites and non-whites. Mandela got out of jail in 1990, 3 years later he won the Nobel prize. He was the first democraticaly elected president in South Africa.
I admire Mandela because he fought for equality.
