Great Seal of the United States of America

Today I am going to tell you about the Great Seal of the United states of America.

It is a seal with a bald eagle on it. There are 2 parts of the seal. One is called the reverse which is a pyramid with a eye above it and the other part is called the obverse which has a picture of an eagle on it. The seal was explained by Charles Thomson who said that the white color on the seal represents innocence, The red means bravery and blue stands for justice.

Charles Thomson made the seal by taking the best suggestion of 3 committees. The eagle holds 13 arrow on its left talons and 13 olive leaves on a stem there is also 13 stars on top of it. The number 13 represents how many states there used to be in America. The phrase "E Pluribus Unum" means many out of one.

I thought learning about The Great seal of the United states was fascinating!
