Sherlock Holmes
I wrote about Holmes because I read some of his stories yesterday.
Sherlock Holmes is a fictional detective. The Author is Arthur Canon Doyle. The setting is in London. He is a consulting detective with sharp logical reasoning ability. Holmes was first published in 1887. Doyle has created 4 novels and 56 short stories!
The First novel was A Study in Scarlet. Almost all his stories are told by Holmes friend Dr. Watson. The character is inspired Dr. Joseph Bells, a real doctor. The catchphrase "Elementary, my dear Watson" is never actually spoken by Holmes!
